The relationship between starch, dextrin and gluten
The presence of starch or dextrin in foods does not mean that they contain gluten systematically, but you have to be very careful!
Because starch or dextrin added to food can come from many sources
If this source comes from wheat or other forbidden food containing gluten it means that this additive must contain gluten and it must not be consumed
On the other hand, if the source of starch or dextrin comes from other authorized food such as corn, ... then we can eat without risk
If the source of starch and dextrin are not mentioned in the package, you have to check with the producer or at least inform us about the product so that we can analyze it and check whether it is safe or not.
Finally, always read the ingredients carefully before eating a new food and exchanging your experience with others.
